The IGSM Difference:
6 DISTINCTIVES
1 | Affordability
Because we don’t own or rent buildings, and because we have adjunct faculty rather than full time faculty, our tuition is about 30% of what other schools charge.
2 | Accessibility
Leveraging technology, such as the internet, flash drive, and tablet computers, IGSM is able to take it’s teaching into any location in any country.
3 | Practicality
While we excel in Biblical/theological training, our main focus is on practical ministry. We help pastors and Christian leaders learn the skills they need for the everyday battles they face in ministry.
5 | Mentor Assisted Small Groups
Each week students meet in groups of 5-7 led by a qualified mentor. This provides accountability and incredible interaction among the students themselves. Small groups provide a unique opportunity for students to share their ideas and receive encouragement and support.
4 | Interdenominational
IGSM has students from more than 20 denominations taking courses. We desire that our students and our instructors represent the full body of Christ.
6 | Active Learning
Teaching and learning without activation and implementation have limited value. Therefore, we use learning strategies focused on “Active Learning” rather than the more traditional “Passive Learning” techniques. This requires students take significant responsibility in the learning process.
Today’s Students/
Tomorrow’s Leaders
We believe that what IGSM is doing today will make significant differences in the future. Many of our students, while providing leadership in their churches, work full-time in the marketplace. The training they receive at IGSM helps prepare them for the unique opportunities they face each and ever day. It’s our goal to raise up leaders in every major area of society to represent Christ to the world.
As the Apostle Paul wrote,
Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies. (Philippians 4:9 TPT)
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Eph 2:10 ESV)
Dedicated to Change
In order to change communities, we must change congregations and ministries. Christian leaders have incredible opportunities to be change agents in their communities. Therefore, IGSM seeks to raise up catalysts for change who will use their God given gifts and talents “…to see God’s will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
