Grievances and Appeals

Every effort is made to keep communication open between you, your mentor and the IGSM staff to avoid serious problems. In the event a grievance or problem has not been handled to your satisfaction, the following procedure should be followed:

  • Appeals related to academic or non-academic matters should first be addressed through a meeting with your mentor. If you are not satisfied with the results of this appeal, the IGSM office should be consulted. If an agreement is not reached, you can take your appeal to the Board of Directors of IGSM. Decisions by the Board of Directors are final. The steps above must be done in the sequence outlined. No appeals will be heard by any groups until the previous group (as indicated in the list above) has acted on the appeal.
